I have always had a keen interest in researching the musical traditions I was immersed in from a young age, and I enjoy finding old tunes in books as well as searching through archive sites such as Tobair an Dulchais. In 2013, I began a year-long Master's degree of research at Glasgow University. During this time I researched the fiddle tradition of the West Coast of Scotland, which accumulated in my final thesis. Angus Grant Snr provided me with his invaluable knowledge on the tradition and I also interviewed a number of fiddle players. There are many more fiddle players and tradition bearers who I did not manage to include at the time, but I have plans in the future to add lots more to the paper. Here is a link to it:
